The Masters leaderboard is a real-time snapshot of player rankings throughout the tournament. It helps golf fans stay up to date on who has a chance of winning, and experience every twist and turn at Augusta in real-time.
Rory McIlroy is two shots off the lead as The Masters enters its final round at Augusta National. Bryson DeChambeau is the next closest, but there’s a long pack behind them including 2018 champion Patrick Reed, Ludvig Aberg, Jason Day and Justin Rose.
It’s been a rocky start to the day for McIlroy, who double bogeys the first hole after hitting his second shot into the left fairway bunker and pitching to 15 feet short of the green. He three-putts to drop a stroke back, and he loses another stroke when he pushes a birdie putt on the seventh.
McIlroy makes a bogey at the 13th, too, and he misses a short par putt on the 14th to fall three behind. That’s when Rose starts to make a move. He lays up on the 16th, hits his approach to 20 feet, and makes the putt to move into the lead.
The Masters is one of the most prestigious golf tournaments in the world. The field is incredibly small, and participants are eligible for invitation based on a variety of criteria. Those criteria include past Masters winners, leading finishers in the previous year’s majors, PGA Tour players with full-time status during the previous season and those who are ranked in the top 50 of the Official World Golf Ranking at the time of the tournament. In addition, defending champions are invited into the tournament, along with the current U.S. Amateur champion and past champions of other prestigious amateur tournaments.
